I’m James Buchko, and contracting has always been in my blood. I grew up working on homes alongside my dad, learning the value of hard work, craftsmanship, and doing things the right way—every time.
That foundation shaped my mission for JDB Contracting: to bring expert roofing solutions to homeowners across West Virginia with honesty, quality, and care. I believe every project deserves our best—because when you put your name on something, it should stand for something.

When I’m not on the job, you’ll probably find me spending time with friends or visiting my family’s blueberry farm down in Pembroke, Virginia—getting back to my roots and enjoying the simple things.

Before joining JDB, I worked as a salesman at 84 Lumber, where I developed a strong foundation in home improvement and construction materials. That experience now helps me guide homeowners through roofing decisions and future project planning with confidence and insight.
When I’m not on the job, I’m spending time with my two little ones, Lydia and Lincoln—especially on NFL Sundays. I’m excited for football season… though I’m already bracing for the emotional rollercoaster of fantasy football!
